We're going to start this series off with a relatively simple image in regards to post processing. The heavy lifting was done by the amazing light show put on by Mother Nature and I just had to be sure I didn't screw that up.
A few weeks ago, I was fortunate to be asked by my good friend, Chris Lawrence to head up to the Millinocket, Maine are to try and get images of the full moon setting behind Mount Katahdin. I had only once been up to the area to hike the mountain and it was when the leftovers from hurricane Earl hit the area. It's hard to see anything in that kind of downpour. I was excited to get up there, to say the least.
We had to contend with several days of snow, but the clouds cleared enough for me to get some great images of the mountain, mostly from the lake that was at our cabin, at the New England Outdoor Center.
While I absolutely love the images I got to take, the best part of the trip was getting to hangout with five great guys, all incredibly talented photographers themselves. Mike Taylor, Garrett Evans, Aaron Priest, Colin Chase and our illustrious host, Chris. Nothing beats sitting around, shooting the shit, and talking shop with a bunch of dudes you get along with well.
