We're going to start this series off with a relatively simple image in regards to post processing. The heavy lifting was done by the amazing light show put on by Mother Nature and I just had to be sure I didn't screw that up.
I am so happy to announce that I will again be offering a workshop through Maine Media Workshops. For those that know Maine Media, you know how awesome this is. For those of you that haven't heard of them, let me break down why this is the ultimate workshop experience. First of all you get to spend a week with me! What? That doesn't sell it for you? Well, fine! Let me add some nice tidbits to make it a little better.
This workshop will be a week of learning how to find your artistic vision in landscape photography. We will spend half of the workshop in beautiful places like Acadia National Park learning how to perfect your in the field shooting. You will get to learn how to get better compositions, the best settings, and how to incorporate motion into your images, plus how to shoot with post processing in mind. The other half will be spent in Maine Medias decked out computer lab where I will teach you how to take your images from the field to the next level. I'll cover all those tough to learn and master techniques you see the pros use and talk about with the ability to ask all the questions your heart desires. All this while having your lodging, food, transportation, permits, etc. taken care of by the wonderful staff at Maine Media. You also get access to their legendary equipment rental room where you get access to gear you have always dreamed of using. I dare you to find a downside to this!

Welcome to the new Charlie Widdis Photography website! It's great to be in the new space. While I loved my last site, I had begun to grow in a way it just couldn't accommodate anymore. With the new site you'll see great new features like a regularly updating blog with tips, tricks, news and the latest photos from my adventures. You'll also be able to see workshop offerings as well as sign up for one on one mentoring sessions. So welcome, take a look around and let us know what you love, or if there is something you would like to see different!
